Actor, author, film editor, and songwriter, Russ Chambliss is making a name for himself through his creative theory of electronic sound and melody for his single, "When I'm Around You". Although Mr. Chambliss is widely known for his novels, The Race Against Time and A Daughter’s Secret, it’s his ability to write, arrange and compose sounds into upbeat tempo, head-bobbing songs that have grabbed the attention of music enthusiasts everywhere. His tunes have been featured on several albums by Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes (Beatstars Mixtape Vol. 8/MakinMoves Mixtape Vol. 370, 390) just to name a few. In addition, his Love Electric albums have been added to the song rotations of well-renowned radio stations such as 101.9 CITR-FM (Vancouver, BC), AquaSound on Live365 (Hosted by madmixer) and featured on the Rew & Who? Show. Mr. Chambliss’ observations of life, love, and creativity, augmented by the education and knowledge he gained through his course studies in film at Boston University reflects in his music. During an interview at Urban Media TV, Mr. Chambliss said “I grew up listening to all sorts of music as a child; everything from hip-hop to country, and I try to incorporate those distinct sounds and rhythms into my songs. I truly believe that when you expose yourself to a variety of different types of music, and not limit yourself to one genre, you’re able to broaden your horizons and create unique material that doesn’t necessarily sound mainstream. Its definitely worked to my advantage, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to utilize my creativity when writing and composing songs.”
