Born in Peru to a Swiss-American father and Chilean mother, music was ingrained in Isabel from her crib, where her grandmother Carol sang boleros and old Italian songs to her accompanied her guitar. Growing up in Miami, her father played her Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and the Beatles with his band, while with her friends she danced merengue and salsa surrounded by the infectious rhythms of Cuban music. Her mother introduced her to Nina Simone and Bossa Nova.

From the age of 11, she studied musical theater and at 15 she began training in bel canto, singing the classical mezzo-soprano repertoire. At 25, she suddenly heard "songs that came out of nowhere" and started to write music and lyrics.

In 2012, while living in Paris, she released on iTunes the first 2 tracks from her self-titled EP, produced by Jean-Jacques Hertz at X-Track Studios.

Girl w/ No Country is her début album and a tribute to many places she's loved: Brazil, Argentina, Easter Island and of course the US. She has lived in Sri Lanka, the US, China, France, England and currently lives in Chile, where she collaborated with some of the best musicians and producers to make this eclectic and poetic compendium of musical memories.
