Celestial Wolves is a five piece instrumental rock band formed in 2011. The band consist of Dieter Verbeken (guitar), Johannes De Groeve (guitar), Joris De Bolle (guitar), Mathieu Pollyn (drums) and Wouter De Bolle (bass guitar). They play atmospheric layered progressive music with stoner and metal influences which results in a mixture of soothing melodies often interrupted by brutal distortions.

As the band loves to experiment with the time signature, they also use the standard ingredients that go with instrumental music: starting off with a melodic sequence and building it up to a climax.

In 2012 Celestial Wolves recorded a demo EP ‘Callisto’ which was followed by their debut album ‘Wood For Wood’. It was released through dunk!records, the spin-off label of Europe’s biggest festivals for instrumental rock music Dunk!festival.
