Australian producer Strict Face is next up for Gobstopper Records, with two tracker 'Fountains / Highbury Skyline'. 2013 saw a successful year for the producer, finally coming into his own with a succession of ethereal grime mutations that found their way into mixes from the likes of Slackk, Dusk & Blackdown, Mumdance and Gobstopper boss Mr. Mitch. Now, with his first release of 2014 Strict Face brings forward two pieces of music that leave the listener in a state of stasis. 'Fountains' blends icy synths and deep bass kicks with some deafening silences, while 'Highbury Skyline' showcases Strict Face's innate mastery of melody with a square wave riff that subtly progresses over the course of the tune.
