Growing up Erik always had a love for music and dancing. In the late 80's Erik stumbled across wbmx on his boom box and fell in love with what he heard, later found out it's called house music. Shortly after that Erik got his first set of turn tables and started buying records and learned the art of mixing. Practicing daily Erik honed is funky style on the tables. At the age of 15 Erik got his first club gig at off the alley he turned this place from a 50 person on Fridays to 400 people every weekend for a few years. It was here he met Chicago legends like gene Farris, Craig Alexander, frique and DJ rush. Erik stumbled upon the very underground rave scene of the early 90's here he met mystic bill and soon became a part of the vibe alive crew playing events all over the Midwest, sharing the stage with Chicago's heavy hitters like Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, miles Maeda, gene Farris and traxx just to name a few. Erik also played numerous loft parties, underground events and club nights at places like crobar. To this day Erik is still one of the funkiest DJ's behind the decks. He will captivate you with his funky style and the love that flows out of him with each track he plays. Erik currently has tracks out on Gaia recordings, and a release coming out on Wetsuit Recordings in December.
