Initially, "The End is Beginning" was meant to be an EP, but quickly grew in light of personal and environmental challenges such as the increased publicity around police brutality in the US and the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement. It serves as a wake up call to social ills as well as a celebration of victory over a physical illness that threatened to halt the completion of the project and Kaoz’s career.

Drawing upon an old school format, the album plays like your favorite cassette. The first half is dedicated to more seriously themed tracks, and the latter half plays in juxtaposition. The base involves the intersections of Kaoz’s race and sexuality, and challenges us to question and blur gender norms and strength perceptions. Kaoz pens a call to action for his generation and beyond (Get it 2Getha). In other tracks (The Light Side of Dark) he plays cinematically showing a young man’s internal struggle between good and evil, he also rips into the music industry (The Biz) and tackles the militarization of law enforcement (Suffocate, Justice) The other half speaks more to interpersonal relationships, female sexual empowerment, (Bionica) substance abuse (Pillz), celebrating social justice soldiers (Overtime) as well as a catchy and classic sounding “ode to the Twin Cities” (Twin City Lights). The End is Beginning solidifies Kaoz as one the Twin Cities most thought provoking and determined Twin Cities emcees going against the grain of basic hip hop.
