The Domino Effect is an Alternative Rock Band based out of Richmond, Virginia. Formed in the Fall of 2012 out of the remnants of the local cover band the River City Dogs. The Domino Effect shifted gears from the old band and made the conversion from a strictly cover band to an Original Band that plays an occasional cover. The roots of the band are based out of the music that they grew up loving, a combination of hard rock, grunge, and punk to create their own unique sound. As 2013 rolled around, the band played numerous live shows at the front part of the year to hone their live playing. As this was progressing on, the band was quietly writing and working on their original material. At the end of August 2013, the band entered the studio to record their 1st independent release.....3 Hour Notice. The Domino Effect are: Alex Pez---Drums. Alex hails from Roanoke, VA. He moved to the Richmond, VA region to attend VCU. Toward the end of his college years, after playing in numerous bands, he sought out to help form River City Dogs along with his long time friend Aaron Angus. Aaron Angus --Bass. Aaron hails from Mechanicsville, VA. Aaron has played numerous musical instruments throughout his life, finally settling on the bass. He became friends with Alex while in college and was instrumental in helping to form River City Dogs. When he is not playing bass or writing killer riffs, Aaron is the artistic genius behind all of the art work for the band. in addition, he spends his free time as a working actor. Matt Alter--Guitar. Matt grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Music was around him his entire life. He picked up the guitar as he graduated high school and play throughout his college years. Life then got in the way, and he spend the next few years studying to become a general surgeon. The musically itch was never shaken, and Matt eventually became the third founding member of the River City Dogs, and The Domino Effect. William Barnett--Vocals. William joined The Domino Effect in October 2012 as the forth founding member of the band. William grew up around the world as his family was serving our country. He eventually came to VCU for college to become a Mechanical Engineer. It was during those college years that William met both Alex and Aaron. As the band was coming into shape, and auditions for a new lead vocalist were being held, Aaron and Alex decided to call their old college friend to see if he would be interested in coming on down for an audition. With 3 hours notice, William responded to the call, and the band was complete.
