From humble beginnings in Long Beach, CA, to chart-topping European pop star and actress, to seasoned diva poised for international success--Lory Bianco has come very far. Lory has made a lifetime commitment to being the very best she can be. And as her loyal fans can attest, so far that has been simply incredible. But hold on to your hats, folks. After eight years out of the limelight, she's back-- Lory's dream of becoming a singer began when she was just 10. Imagine discovering at such a tender age thay you're in possession of a beautiful and powerful voice, one so expressive that it could touch hearts. Lory was quick to recognize that the entertainment field was her destiny. She also knew, even then, that the road ahead would not be easy. But with the same buoyant spirit that she weaves into all her music, Lory knew that the hard road would become an incredible journey--a journey of determination and triumph against all odds. Lory made her singing debut at 12 years old at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in the Cine Grill singing with duet with her sister Holly and singing solo. For the next several years she learned some of the ropes of the entertainment industry by plunging in, performing on the Southern California circuit with a group of entertainers managed by Harry and Ethel Corvic. Singing solo in hundreds of variety shows, Lory and her sister were a favorite at fairs, conventions, Women's Clubs, the USO, convalescent homes, senior centers, and anywhere they were given a chance to perform. When Lory was 15 1/2, Lory and her sister split up and she went on to sign sign a recording contract with Hal Winn and released her first solo single, "Teenager In Love," distributed by RCA. A year later, Lory hit the road for a series of shows and performances to promote her new single. At 17 Lory's career took another giant step when she answered the global talent search of Italian producers Guido and Maurizio de Angelis. The de Angelis brothers auditioned thousands of girls in hopes of discovering a girl with the voice. They discovered Lory at the Sir Studios in Hollywood and were overwhelmed by her passionate voice and glowing stage presence. Lory was asked to give up one thing close to her: her first name--they changed it to Bonnie to give her the initials BB--but in return, the de Angelis brothers launched her career in the European market. Lory found her Hollywood in Europe. She starred in two music films and won European acclaim, and continues to win over new fans in the millennium from other parts of the globe. Through all her film and television success, perhaps the greatest triumph of Lory's career thus far has been her recording work. Lory has recorded 6 official albums, two of which rocketed to gold, and has worked with a number of well known European producers. In Germany she had 3 top ten hits at the same time. In all, she has sold over a million albums. Lory's long road to fame took her far from home, but never far from her vision of being the very best she could possibly be. She worked hard for her success, traveling on and off in Europe for a ten year stretch, living out of her suitcase, away from family and friends for long periods of time. She has made hundreds of appearances, performed live for huge crowds, granted interviews, and posed for many photo sessions, all to promote her career. After years on the road, in 1993 Lory decided to take a break to get in touch with her creativity, to focus on her objectives, and to organize her efforts toward achieving her true desires. She returned to the US and immersed herself in the arts; acting classes, writing, songwriting, piano, sculpting, art, and singing to prepare to launch a global and multifaceted career: a proper vehicle for her to share her love and her artistic expression. For the first time in her long career, Lory has written and arranged all her own material, from beautiful love ballads to high energy pop songs, with a touch of class, where Celine meets Madonna, with arrangements by Ivan Castro, and Todd Tackett. In 2000, Lory started her own record label, Power Records, for which she produced her new CD, "ON MY OWN...but never alone." The depths of her heart and the wisdom of her experience shine through on every song. After years of guidance from outside interests, and the school of hard knocks, Lory has reached deep inside herself and taken charge of her own destiny.
