Sue Gartland's music takes you on a journey through time and introduces us to unforgettable people and places. Her lyrics and melodies are drawn from life's experience and delivered in a style that's all her own with a gentle and soothing voice. Born into a military family she spent most of her childhood years moving from place to place leaving her with a sense of melancholy and wanderlust that is woven through her lyrics. Her parents bought her first guitar from a pawn shop as a young girl and she wrote her first song at seventeen. Her early musical influences include the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Melanie and Carol King. Sue is married and mother of four children.

She is an active member of the Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle and performs in and around the Pittsburgh area. Sue's CD titled “Ford Fairlane” features 13 original songs and a Johnny Cash tune. Earlier projects include an EP recorded in 2000, and songs on compilation albums released by the Pittsburgh Songwriters’ Circle in 2005, 2006, 2007,2009 and 2010. Her most recent project is a Christmas album, “Christmas with Sue Gartland” featuring classic Christmas songs along with her original tunes.
