Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Ms. Kelley Nicole has been singing since the age of nine when a music teacher discovered the sweet vocal tonality of a young girl that had already begun a love affair with music through her study of the piano and French horn. This dynamic singer/songwriter writes and performs an eclectic range of music, beginning with a vulnerable acoustic R&B sensibility that channels the likes of India.Arie and Sade. Combine this with tunes that reflect an up-tempo gritty R&B-Funk fusion, heavy with the bass lick creations that stem from her current study of the instrument, and you’ve got the perfect reflection of a woman that draws you in to her strong inner core with a warm, infectious smile.

Formerly one of the lead vocalists for the critically-acclaimed Afro-funk band, Soulfège, (nominated for multiple Boston Music Awards, Independent Music Awards, and Boston Urban Music Awards, as well as a featured performer at the NACA National Convention), she brought an R&B/folk sensibility to the group’s Pan-African blend. She has performed around the world, from Europe to Africa and in venues across the United States, as well as for such renown artists as Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, Al Gore, and the Reverend Al Sharpton. She has also been blessed to share the stage with such renowned artists as Bobby McFerrin and El Debarge. In a vein similar to such great front women before her, a la Lauryn Hill and Gwen Stefani, she has been described as “the belle of the Soulfège ball” and is ready to come into her own. Ms. Kelley Nicole uses her unique musical talent to impart lessons of love, empowerment, and divine transcendence over all circumstance as she learns them, one by one.
