Leo had been ill for several years and it was clear that his time to depart this world was getting close, so over the Holidays in 2015 he and John worked to finish a collection of songs that been gathering since Precious Mud – Two. Track 4 – Wicked Little Stevie – 2012 – An epic reflection by Leo of his life in music. Track 5 – Sun Don't – 2012 Track 6 – Thinking of You – 1998 – The first studio effort from John and Leo. Track 7 – Glass Jam – 1997 – An impromptu jam recorded when Leo and John were just getting started in their musical collaboration. This is the earliest surviving recording of John and Leo playing together. Track 8 – Best for Last – 2015 – The title track. The words “Best for Last” appearing on the album cover were written in Leo's own hand.
