“No Point in Stopping” takes place on a ship caught in a raging storm, a metaphor for an unhealthy relationship. The captain believes her ship can make it through storm after storm, lies upon lies, even though “it’s already sunken,” she sings. “It’s about battling myself within my mind to make a healthy decision instead of continuing to deny the toxicity around me,” said Shannen. “I wrote it as a form of self-help to accept that it’s okay to leave, I’m strong on my own and to erase the shame I felt.” She hopes this song starts a conversation of what a healthy relationship is and gives strength to others to leave destructive situations.
