This beautiful recording of Dvorak's Serenade for Strings was made in 2002 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. It is with great pleasure that we can share this recording via digital media. It is a testament to how far technology has come that digital media wasn't as available back then. An accomplished string instrument player (Dvorak was both a violinist and violist), the writing is singing, fluid, and speaks both playfully and elegantly. The five movement structure is of note. This is one of Dvorak's highly regarded masterworks.
