Based out of Atlanta, GA, Luna brings a unique flavor to the ever changing Pop/Rock genre by combining it with Latin influences such as Flamenco, Bachata, and Reggaeton. The trio, all from Mexico, knows how to deliver rich and engulfing Spanish guitars, mixed with vivid electric guitars, and powerful yet emotionally-filled catchy melodies. With their diverse musical backgrounds, Luna manages to evolve within a genre that seemed at one point “stuck”. Audy, growing up in the Punk and Rock en Español scenes, brings a deep yet explosive style to the music through the rhythm guitar. Arash, with his mix of Metal, Rock, and Oriental music background creates the root sound of Luna with the lead guitar. The penetrating lyrics, mesmerizing melodies, and deeply warm vocals that Mayra adds to the music is what sets Luna apart from other artists. The EP starts with their single, “Un Año De Amor”, an American Pop-like song that captures everyone’s heart with the lyrics and will keep them singing the tune over and over again. “El Camino De La Vida” is a Flamenco/Spanish-oriented song with catchy melodies. The song also gives a lesson in life. The mix of Bachata and Rock styles, while keeping a Pop tune can be heard in “Nunca Sera Igual” which also addresses a delicate topic in today’s relationships. The closing track of the EP is “Muevelo, Bailalo (Samba Tanguera)”, a Dance/Pop song with Latin influences that forces people to move and enjoy a good time! “The music Luna makes is a reflection of who I am, of who we are,” Audy declares. After just four short months, Luna is enjoying a growing success that others take years to achieve. “Since day one, we agreed we would treat this band as a business. It has given us tangible results and is helping us get to where we want to be,” Arash says confidently about their achievements. In just their first four shows, Luna has attracted a diverse audience. Luna was invited to play in front of 5,000 people at Plaza Fiesta for Mexican Independence Day, where they received a very enthusiastic response from the crowd.
