简介
Smart Trax is an award winning multimedia, positive message movement by multicultural youth from all over North America. The songs deal with issues guidance counselors unfortunately have to address daily: Violence, Guns, Bullying, Drugs, Smoking, Drinking, Drinking but also OPTIMISM! It was created and founded by Professor David Musial in 1993. The first song he was inspired to compose in this style was titled "Earthquake". It was about the first World Trade Center bombing. He was almost in it, he had friends who survived who were under it in the subway at the time. When Musial came home, he looked out his studio window and all of the lights were turned off in the Twin Towers. It was eerie. The song "Earthquake" received a letter foam the White House. In 1995 he was asked to produce "Spread Peace All Over The World". The United Nations used it for the 50th Anniversary. In 1998 he was asked to compose "Take A Stand" (Stop The Violence), it won an Emmy Award and a Silver Cindy Award for MTV and was promoted by the United States Department Of Education & Justice and the RIAA. In 2000, he was asked to compose "We, Are, Drug, Free!" It became #1 for "A Partnership For A Drug Free America" and was performed in Disney for DARE! This gave "birth" to Smart Trax Media, LLC. Now there are over 40 music videos at GetSmartSongs.com that deal with sensitive issues through music, that unfortunately every guidance councilor in middle schools has to address on a daily basis. Musial was given a lifetime achievement award in 2010 from the United States Department of Justice at the national headquarters for the Drug Enforcement Agency for Smart Trax after a live performance at the 25th Anniversary of the Red Ribbon Rally. This represented millions of students in America. The song "The Sun Will Shine" is about bullying and the songs "Don't Go Away" and "Today Is The Day" is about Teen Suicide. A Pack of Lies is about Teen Smoking. "Be GREAT" is a theme composed for the "Gang Resistance Education And Training" program by the U.S Marshall's. Skate Dance is about safe recreation. Everything's A Blur is about teen drunk driving. IMPACT was inspired by the U.S. Young Marines and was performed live in the "Hall of Heroes" in the Pentagon!
