Brian Lee Cohen was born in Ada, Oklahoma on January 18, 1989. Growing up, he lived near the Kiamichi and Jack fork mountains on Choctaw territory. His family moved to Springfield, Illinois when he was still quite young, but he had already absorbed a lot of the Native American culture from the land. He, like most young boys, had developed a love for rock and roll music after moving away from his southern roots. When his family once again moved to a small town just outside of Springfield, he fell in love with hip/hop and rap music. It was during a second grade project, where he was free to write about anything, that he began to feel out his ability to write. Then, closer to sixth grade, he started putting together lyrics and rhymes for raps and honed his skills throughout the rest of his high school experience. Upon graduating, he purchased programs for making beats and began mixing songs. In 2010, people started calling him "Creek" because of his Native heritage as part of the Creek Nation Tribe. The name just stuck and became his artist name. After years of hard work and dedication, his debut album "The Last Elemental" is being released the summer of 2014.
