Internationally-acclaimed concert violinist Gwendolyn Masin is joined by the renowned Swiss pianist Simon Bucher – her long-term piano partner and friend – on this new album. Entitled Flame, the album examines the nature of fire, which can destroy whilst also giving comfort, warmth and light. Gwendolyn chose the title as several of these works were composed during desperate and difficult times, and yet the resulting music is a source of joy and inspiration.
