简介

"The Boys of '17" features Gordon Thomas Ward on guitar and vocals, Eric Troyer on bass and synthesizer, Keith Goellner on snare drum, and Peter "B" Burnejko on flugelhorn. The song was engineered by Eric Troyer and co-produced by Gordon Thomas Ward and Eric Troyer at Charlestown Road Studio in Hampton, NJ. Gordon paints musical portraits that plumb the depths of our emotions and bring the past to life while pointing to a hope-filled future. His listeners travel mystical and historical roads, winding through lush, sonic landscapes filled with seacoasts, ghosts, history, rivers, coffee shop waitresses, and railroad engineers. Employing his experience as a teacher, writer, paranormal investigator, storyteller, group facilitator, and radio host, it’s no wonder that his fans often comment on Gordon’s knack for establishing an endearing relationship with them through his extraordinary and captivating words and music. At the end of his performances, audiences leave inspired! His songs have led him to work with notable musicians such as Eric Troyer (The Orchestra (ELO), John Lennon, Billy Joel), William J. Hall (Frostwater and Pete Seeger), and Carolann Solebello (Red Molly and No Fuss and Feathers), share the stage with Christine Lavin and the duo Nalani & Sarina, and often be selected by The Boxcar Lilies (one of his favorite Americana bands) to open for them. When he’s not composing songs and penning lyrics, Gordon writes prose and is the author of four published books:Life on the Shoulder, A Bit of Earth, Ghosts of Central Jersey, and Tracing Infinity. He also writes a regular column for The Black River Journal magazine, hosts a radio show These Days on WDVR (www.wdvrfm.org). Gordon also lectures on several topics, and, as an artist interested in social issues, he produced and performed in a Concert Across America to End Gun Violence in September 2016.
