Lord Kamadeva is the god of “divine love”. Same as the Eros of the Greek, the Cupid of the Romans he arouses passion and love among those struck by his cosmic arrow. Kamadeva is among the most famous deities of Hinduism, found in various scriptures, including the Rig Veda, Atharva Veda, Vishnu puranam and others. Lyrics: Om Kamadevaya Vidmahe Pushpa Banaya Dhimahi Tanno Ananga Prachodayat. It means, Om, I meditate on Kaamdeva (God of Love), who wields arrows of flowers (Pushpa Banaya). May that Ananga (who is without a body, another name of Kaamdeva) give me higher intellect and illuminate my mind (Prachodayath). The Kamadeva Gayatri mantra is considered very powerful for seduction, attraction and love.
