"Roses & Bombs" features 11 tracks with production from the artist, Beats.Before.Breakfast and DorfBeatz. The album name itself is a play on words on E.V.’s real last name. It’s a concept album that discusses everything in the world that is pure and good (Roses) and how it is balanced out by the evil (Bombs), and everywhere in between is where E.V. finds himself as he struggles to find his place in the world. Although an album about dualities isn’t a new idea, E.V. manages to cover a wide array of topics. Whether it is him coming to the realization that both positive and negative qualities define him as a person on the track “Efflorescence” or on the track “Petals” where he accentuates the delicate beauty of a particular woman in his mind, E.V. manages to grab the attention of his listener with his clever rhymes, rhyming patterns and delivery. Paired with the never before heard musical compositions of beats.before.breakfast the album flows effortlessly from track to track. No two songs are alike; each providing the listener with a choice to make. Are they good or are they evil? Are they wrong or are they right? The lines are blurred.
