She is a nominee for Best New Artist at the 2014 Wave 89.1 Urban Music Awards. She writes songs for top producers in the Philippines. Her sound can be described as "urban pop with hints of reggae and blues". She is known for her distinct, powerful yet vulnerable voice and catchy, melodic songwriting style. She is also one of the country's few plus-size models. She advocates positivity and love in all forms through her works in music and modeling. Her musical influences include The Police, Akon, Jessie J, Katy Perry, and Michael Jackson. Walang Masama (“Taba”) “Walang Masama”, a Filipino phrase, can be loosely translated to “there is nothing wrong”. “Taba” means “fat”. “Walang Masama” is a track that communicates the message of body acceptance and love and care of the self in a light and fun way. It was written by Kat Lopez and was inspired by her experiences as a plus-size model. It is one of the few tracks in the Philippines where lyrics artfully transition between English and Tagalog. Producer Q-York’s signature style of “local feel with international appeal” can be felt throughout the song. The song’s music video changes the game of visual media by showcasing men and women of different shapes, sizes and color. Song Title: Walang Masama (Taba) - K.Lopez - C. Bonjoc - J.
