简介
Bob Patin has been playing jazz piano since his early teens. His music has been influenced by a wide variety of pianists, including Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, George Shearing, Oscar Peterson, Leon Russell, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, just to name a few; his playing style has been honed by years of traveling with world-class recording artists and playing on thousands of recording sessions in Nashville, Tennessee. Bob's songwriting is an eclectic mix of many influences; although every song has an improvisational nature to it at some point, the style is hard to define. A listen to his new CD, "In A Mind's Eye," will give you an idea of the breadth and variety of his playing and musical tastes. "In A Mind's Eye" features upright bassist Jim Ferguson and drummer Jim White; co-produced by Brendan Harkin and Bob, the CD features a mixture of original tunes, a couple of great standards, and even the theme from an award-winning motion picture.
