It was the year 1998, and 12 year old Candice was sitting in her bedroom writing her first song. The passion was there from a young child. She has always been an avid songwriter of many different genres. Influences in the likes of many popular R&B stars inspired her along the way. It wasn’t until she became a little older that she discovered that her passion was in singing the songs that she wrote. Born on Oct. 4 th , 1985, Candice grew up in a small town called Ridge, LA. From there, she continued the remainder of her childhood years in Lafayette, LA; where she graduated from Northside High School. She went on to receive a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. While in college, Candice grew an interest in the Blues and Southern Soul market, where she encountered her very first professional studio experience with a local record label. Radio play, live shows, interviews, etc. were all a part of the ultimate experience this particular label afforded her. Unfortunately, a difference of opinions led to her split from the record label. After graduating, she took a break from music to raise her son. In 2015, she decided to follow her passion once again, this time taking it to another level. Candice’s music features classic southern soul and blues sounds, along with a soft mix of R&B. She is prided in the time and attention to detail that is put into each piece of her work. Her first complete album will be released in early 2017.
