简介
Hayley Fahey writes and sings from her heart and soul. She says that music is a part of her, and without it she would not be the same. Hayley’s music is a natural blend of sweet indie rock with a whisper of R&B, a dash of country, a drop of pop, and a hint of folk. She puts it all together with enthusiastic energy and tenacious wisdom. A standout story teller among a talented generation, Hayley has been singing since she was a baby and songwriting since she was a child, composing on piano, guitar and mandolin along the way. She strives for positivity and meaning in her tunes. Her voice has been described as “compelling” and “intriguing.” Listeners have commented that they are happily astounded at the bighearted sound from this petite 22-year-old with a wide range. Others have said they can “feel her soul” when she sings. Beyond the catchy beats and sapphire words, there is a life force of honesty in the arc of this CD that carries from each song to the next. Starting with the beachy, summertime song, “Tuesday Morning,” about digging your toes in the sand, to the driving “Hurricane,” to the light-filled “Just Believe,” about going somewhere right, to the warm, R&B-infused “October Sun” —it can’t help but have momentum. When there is so much that is superficial today and the capacity to seek the truth is sometimes not highly valued, this album is about content. There’s a depth and integrity to it. It is dimensional musically and lyrically. It goes to the core of what matters. In August 2015, Hayley began the process of recording the debut album. After searching for the right person to help her produce and record, she collaborated with John Trupp, an accomplished musician and producer in the Washington, D.C. area. John helped her to kick it up with inventive instrumentation and skillful guidance. The result was “Sweet Red,” named after the title song, “Sweet Red Wine,” a rock-soul ballad that moves audiences to clap and sing along. Hayley and John have performed together throughout the DC-Maryland-Virginia area as a duo and with the full Hayley Fahey Band.
