简介
1.The Tango of February 26th The opening number of this album is an aggressive tango. The title comes from an abortive coup d'état that happened in Japan on the 26th of February, 1936. The introduction of this melody gave me an image of young officers marching in the snow. 2.Bloody Mercutio Mercutio is a character of “Romeo and Juliet” written by Shakespeare, who gets stabbed instead of Romeo. 3.Perfume of A Black Herb A peaceful number on the bossa-nova rhythm, featuring Shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese woodwind instrument. 4.Devilish Waltz of A Soul A monumental number, and the reason I chose this to be the album’s title. I wrote this song imaging a human soul turning into a devil, expressing the devilish beauty in the melody and structure of this song. 5.Boutique '69 The year 1969 has a sentimental image to me, and it should be called a turning-point, because many things like the Apollo-spaceship landing on the moon happened that year. That’s why I wrote this song, imaging an antique-shop storing the incidents of 1969. 6.He Who Brings A Storm Over 5 years have passed since I started up my band-project “ERNESTO-CIELO” and wrote this number. I hope this song will get older with me without losing the power of that time. 7.Grave of Dreams A mellow number that I wrote in my teens, intending it to be a ballad with lyrics. Although I say “Grave of Dreams”, I still pursue my dreams and music. 8.Beyond the Memory The last song is a calm and heartwarming number that I saw in my dream one day. With gratitude to everyone that I’ve met along my music career.
