简介

BAND HISTORY Star Nation was unofficially formed in 2000 in order to work on a studio album. The group included Larry Haney, Dylan Haney, Foster Haney, Lynn Omohundro and Karen Lee. After a few weekends of studio time and some roughly mixed recordings the group disbanded, and left the album they were working on unfinished. In 2008 Star Nation officially reconvened as a live act with Larry Haney as the group's writer, singer and guitar player, Peggy Haney as a vocalist and keyboardist, and Tim Erickson on drums. All three band members have played music through out the United States. They are members of the music scene in Oregon, playing places such as the Oregon Trail Interpitive centers, small concerts, along with wine and coffee venues. Larry's most recent song Oregon Road, is often requested at all of their live perfomances and is becoming quite popular with the locals. MEMBER HISTORY Larry Haney has performed live music in Oregon since he was a teenager, and has been writing music for the last ten years. Peggy Haney has been a piano performer for more than 30 years and, in 2006, released an independent Christmas album. The CD was not only a local hit, but also received airtime in the United Kingdom. Tim Erickson has been a drummer aboard cruise ships and has performed all over the northwest. Together Star Nation produces a clear and flexible Native American Folk sound. RECORD INFORMATION Work began on Star Nation's first album, "For the People," at Midnight Studio (Bend, OR) in 2000. The project was put on hold and the album's master tracks were stored there. In 2006 Larry and Dylan Haney continued recording work on two newer songs at RezQual Studio (myspace.com/rezqual). All of the recorded project material from both studios was then passed on to Cunningham Audio Productions (cunninghamaudioproduction.com) in Boise, ID for final recording and mixing work in 2008. During the final few weeks RezQual Studio worked with Cunningham Audio over the internet to transfer the recordings of artists who could not physically be in Boise. Final mixing on the CD was completed Dec. 2 of this year. It will be mastered at Yes Master Studios (yesmasterstudios.com) in Nashiville,Tennesse and released early in 2009. GUEST ARTISTS: Dylan Haney on Native American style flute and percussion. Foster Haney on guitar and vocals. Nolan Murray from Tiller's Folly on mandolin, fiddle, viola, and guitar. Karen Lee on vocals. Lynn Omohundro on vocals, flute, and percussion. Don Cunningham on bass and percussion. All songs written and arranged by Larry, Dylan, and Foster Haney, and Karen Lee.
