C-RELL the YOUNG STALLION LOCATION: Rockford, IL The best of the future is finally here. The young entertainer that’s way ahead of his time brings more energy to the mic than energizer batteries. This 21 year old shows his credibility through his straight forward, direct to the brain lyrics and his crowd hyping break ‘ya’neck live performances. This artist/producer/song writer is the all in one total package. Charles ‘C-Rell’ Ellis grew up around the neighborhood streets but was destined not to fall inside of the square. He has seen it all constantly blinking in hopes to miss the violence, the gangs and drugs. But with his confidence and strong will he was able to keep himself away determined not to be another statistic of society. This overweight MC is the ladies lover but with his hip-hop appeal the streets idolize him. C-Rell has opened for great major artist including: Twista, Do or Die, Donell Jones and Pretty Ricky. He has also performed for the city of Rockford mayor program the n-factor. In 2003 he entered in the Best of the Midwest contest held at the Rockford's Midway Theater. Not only did he blow the crowd away but also the judges, taking home the first place prize. As a winner he and his group received a meeting with So So Def A&R Emmanuel Seals. Even though the meeting didn't result in a record deal it caught the attention of Super Producer Jermaine Dupri. He grew up with both parents in his life but his father was a victim of drugs which caused consistent arguments between him and his mother. C-Rell often looked to the church for help being that his grandfather is a pastor. Growing up was very tough being that his parents barely made enough money to live as the “average citizen”. This wasn’t enough to hold him down. He learned to accept the things he have and work hard for the things he wants. He graduated out of high school but dropped out of college to live the “American Dream”. A few months later his parents filed bankrupt. His mother survived to brain surgeries and his father jobless for over 2 years. These tough situations left him to bring his family and himself out of the struggle determined to live a better life, a good life. He is on a mission destined not to fail. “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
