The seventh collection of Walmartians material is one of those dreaded double releases. Sort of like Use Your Illusion but without all the 12-minute songs and Paul McCartney covers. Originally there was supposed to be the full-length collection of Series 7 and then a string of EPs, each of which would be a cover song and then a couple of originals. The recent crash of the Tascam’s hard drive forced me to reconsider this approach as several songs were lost. So now there is Series 7.1, which is the original release less two songs (Transmigration I, II and III and 2 Pallas Dawn), and Series 7.2, which compiles the various cover songs and originals. Some of the mixes on 7.2 are rough, but as the original hard drive is now a nice paper weight there wasn’t a chance to remix them. And for those of you that have asked there’s a good deal of singing (!) on Series 7.2. Enjoy!
