Drums, bass the guitar and keyboards, because he couldn’t get guys to show up for his home studio sessions. Ron listened to records featuring Jamerson, Ray Brown, Wes Montgomery to name a few. Griffin tried to do practice excercises but as he says “ I always ended up composing some kind of tune instead of practicing. Ron payed close attention to music arrangements andtook to studying just what each instrument was doing. Quincy Jones, Thom Bell, Paul Riser, Freddie Perrin and Isaac Hayes Kept Ron’s ears very busy. Ron’s presently focusing on building an audience for his music reaching more people and having fun doing so.
