“Highway 33&1/3” is the solo debut from Justin Lewis, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Chicago. Country, Blues, Jazz, Folk, and Rock-n-Roll as well as Middle Eastern Influences all make their appearances on “Highway 33&1/3” without sounding forced or contrived. It is apparent that Justin has done his homework, and has developed a voice on guitar and vocals all his own that rings true and honest in today’s musical landscape. With a vocal texture influenced by greats such as Howlin’ Wolf, Otis Redding, Gregg Allman, and Faces-era Rod Stewart along with guitar sounds reminiscent of blues greats Robert Johnson, R.L. Burnside, and Buddy Guy as well as modern day wunderkind Derek Trucks “Highway 33&1/3” has all the right ingredients for some tasty music. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Justin at his home studio, this album is a wonderful debut and we can hardly wait to see what the next album will sound like!
