We could not get the season to turn. It stayed stuck hung there like a wedged in night, or a silenced frame, a hopeless same. And in that tired defeat, a woman began to sing. What else can one do really, when all else fails? And the singing turned into songs which started to shove stiffened air around. & the water from lips learning to move began to drip into soil which grew up a tree. And the tree shed its leaves & the gripped sun was set free, and it took its place in the sky like a long-needed cry, while something long blinded was starting to see. Then the songs began to climb up her door in an unexpected need to turn something more, to touch others in places forgotten or broken, ...an offer of song to those things left unspoken... And so in all this commotion, this debut album "Turn of Season" manifested. Along the way, some great musicians joined in: guitarist Todd Shelar from Turncoat, cellist Seth Low from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, & singer/songwriter Woody Lissauer. And so it was. Seasons will turn, and music is love.
