Following on the StrictLoves debut single Risin Up, 2013 sees StrictLove deliver with love a cover of Dina Carrolls 1992 UK/European hit Aint No Man. 2012 saw StrictLove remix the likes of Toni Braxton, Kylie Minogue, Angie Stone and Ida Corr, building on the popularity of Risin Up. Guest vocalist Zan was one of the lead singers in pioneering 80s Australian pop/dance band Im Talking who enjoyed a string of hits including the Top 5 classic Holy Word. Zan has also performed alongside the likes of U2, B.B. King & a host of both local and international talent; released a solo album in Europe and has gigged regularly at the Jazz Cafe in London alongside the likes of Brand New Heavies. StrictLove (aka producers Andy Evans & Luke Nutley) have collectively been involved in the Australian music scene as musicians, producers, remixers, artist managers, A&R, publicity, marketing & general all-rounders for many years. They formed StrictLove with the intent on producing top end dance/pop with no restrictions on genre or style. Wearing its retro-heart-on the sleeve, the remix package for Aint No Man includes the iconic K-Klass delivering a 90s tinged vocal remix featuring the sublime keyboard skills of the legendary Davos. Additional mixes come from the UKs Kinny - who has produced/remixes for Lemar, Liberty X & Busted, with his disco-esque funk mix and his 90's throwback "Summer of Love" mix tipping the hat to the glory days of Loveland and Serial Diva. Pop/dance fans are covered with treatments by former PWL producer/mixer Pete Hammond, with his homage to vintage PWL. US producer/remixer Paul Andrews takes the song in unexpected territory with an 80's R&B/soul vibe in the vein of classic Jam & Lewis productions, and the UK's Project K round out the package with a pumping Euro/dance mix.
