After the success brought about by Draztic Music's "Give Me That Bass" being placed in the award winning and best selling video game Saints Row IV, the duo embarked on their fourth album with a new reality. No longer were the two simply figures in the underground hip hop scene of the San Francisco Bay Area. They had become internationally known with thousands of copies of the single having been sold from Alaska to Australia.

Building on this success, the two set out to top their accomplishment with a new album. Titling the project "New Hip Hop," the duo, consisting of (frontman and rapper) Draztic and (beat-maker and producer) Rixman84, attempted to set out a new direction for hip hop. This new direction acknowledges old-school hip hop roots, but also embraces how the genre has taken on many forms. They blend hip hop with electronic music in a way that few have accomplished. And the result is a truly unique collection of music. Instead of sounding over-polished and generic, this album is expressive, crazy, and fun, all at the same time.
