The second release from the Through Sounds imprint sees inZtance team up with Volume None for two serious Drum & Bass tracks. The A side "Understory" is a percussion-heavy roller with Far Eastern vibes running throughout the tune, bringing all the elements together into a piece of music that is both technical and organic. The sub bass is perfectly in sync with the orchestral congas, maintaining an energy equal to some of the most serious rave music out there. The AA side "Ashes To Ashes" tones things down a notch with mellow liquid funk. With inZtance also on vocal duties this time, the track evolves into a combination of rhythm, crisp midrange basslines, deep sub and smooth melodies with a slightly melancholic tip. This will surely be the one for people searching for emotion in Drum & Bass.
