Renata De Moraes - has been singing professionally for more then 25 years now, since she sat in for a no-show at a Sao Paulo, Brazil nightclub. Her debut was met with great success and for the next three years she sang all over South America, including gigs in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Asuncion (Paraguay) and Buenos Aires. Although raised in Brazil, she was born in America, Washington DC and return here in 1992 taking up residence in San Francisco. Her performances in the Bay Area gave Americans a taste of Brazil and the Brazilian community in San Francisco a taste of home. Her background in theater lends her performance a dynamic and engaging quality. Since she moved to Maui she is thrilled by the reception Renata De Moraes and The Brasil Connection has thus far enjoyed.
