African Soul Elements Burnt Toast EP [ASTR001] For the new kids on the block Afri Solid Tone Records delivers its first offering from two underdogs from the little city of Pietermaritzburg (South Africa). African Soul Elements is duo, D.Gentleman/WLF & Soul Arab. These two are high school friends who have deep love and unexplainable passion for making music. Based on the platform of nothing but good music not specific on genre just flowing all over touching from basement fillers to lounge and space orientated feels. This deems as African Soul Elements second appearance on the music stage with its premier with Love ReinForcement which did quite well and with Burnt Toast it sure feels like they have rigged the Toaster of the music world. Burnt Toast consists of cuts by D.Gentleman/WLF (Alternative moniker) & Soul Arab which show cases abstract pinches from both artist more better yet a showing of growth. The burnt toast theme is related in the sense of being long overdue. These singles are rare dimes which have been in both artists crates. We kick off with Crumbz & Ashes a very sweet melodic journey tune. The song is more sensed on that lounge tip with an amazing aura to it making you feel and taste the residue of the love put in it, letting you drift within your mind and being soothed heavenly. Up next we jump on the grooves train with Ragamuffin Groove which is direct on its word of being a true groove. The song has that old house touch. Gripping the core of being simple but lovely at the same time, the saxophone brings more life to it increasing pliability making it a classic jazz groove. Indeed a dance floor killer. Getting of the train we head on straight to an amazingly orchestrated techy scene Simulations is an amazing piece of work. This one just creates a walk in Space Park with a lot of shuffling around and hard knocking sounds rising and falling. The luminosity creates or puts you in a senseless state. A true deep blueprint with engravings of power and synth, Simulations is just cluster of obtrusive material. The trip ends with Graffiti in a Lounge a linoleum piece. Enriched with sweet pads and love dust particles which cause an aroma of beautiful contrasted rays of illusive utopia.
