State of Mind has been almost three years in the making. What began as a quest to make the music I wanted to dance to, evolved into a confessional of sorts... that you can dance to! The first track written for the album was Candy Gram. It started out with just the background track to which I added the chorus' harmonies. Listening to the raw idea of the tune while driving my mother's truck around in Indianapolis in the middle of the night, turned into a fever storm of delicious innuendo. And it's absolutely true. I'm a sugar junkie. From there, I let the mood take me.

I'm so lucky to have such talent around me in TJ Reynolds, my brother, and Chad Moser, one of my best friends. These men produced music that I was so inspired by, and proud to write to. The amount of time the three of us have spent over the last few years, including both producers packing up and moving their studios in the process, is astounding. We've collectively poured ourselves into these songs, and I hope you enjoy the results.
