Surrounded by music all of his life, King Jaymes has typically been behind the scenes mixing, producing, managing, etc. He now answers God’s calling and steps from behind the scenes to share the vision and messages that the Lord has placed within him. “For a long time I was ridiculed for playing what some considered blues or jazz at church. It deterred me from wanting to continue playing at church, so I figured that I might as well go ahead and play in the club where no one would ridicule me,” King Jaymes said. “But down the road, God has let me know my role, now I don’t fear being where I am . I am not worried about critics or one person’s opinion because He has made me to be what He wants me to be. We are all different and the music that He has placed in me is for somebody and not every message that goes forth is for everybody.” King Jaymes is just about God’s business, with no expectations. He looks forward to being obedient and is not trying to be famous or rich. “I have fame in Him and my richness does not come from monetary gain. I am rich in Him and my understanding,” he said.
