Marcey is a 15 year-old vocal major at the Creative and Performing Arts High School in Philadelphia. She sings all day long. She also spends her days writing angsty songs. "Stop Writing Love Songs" is her first collection of originals. She has won CAPA's freshman vocal award in the spring of 2010 and has performed in various local productions of a variety of genres.

The title "Stop Writing Love Songs" was chosen because when her brother listened to her work he said "Why can't you write about something awesome? You like that show Adventure Time, right? Write about that. Stop writing love songs." For the record, her brother actually likes the songs Amusement Parks.
