In the summer of 2012, we began preparing to put on a kirtan, a call and response musical event, at a local yoga studio. As we began rehearsing, it became clear that this would not be a traditional kirtan at all, but a rather unorthodox combination of kirtan and our own original music. We liked the resulting songs so much, we decided to record them. All of the lyrics on this recording are sanskrit words or chants that we've put to our own music. Our interpretations of the chants are untraditional, but done with love, and we hope you enjoy them. All music written and performed by Stephanie and the James.
