Working class '77 Brit-punk from the East Bay scene of California? Stranger acts have emerged from that area. But at least American Steel are maintaining the early stages of this genre with an addition of ska-punk hints. The Clash influences are very apparent as are hints of Still Little Fingers' Flammable Material era. Although the aforementioned ska hints are a little overdone, the remainder of American Steel's debut could be easily relished as well as double for a quick lesson in Punk 101.
