简介
Patrick Fitzsimmons served his professional music tenure as a member of From Good Homes, a folk/rock band out of New Jersey, signed to RCA Records in the late ‘90’s. FromGoodHomesreleased three recordings for RCA and toured nationally, sharing the stage with Bob Dylan, The Dave Mathews Band, Joan Osborne and Bob Weir’s Rat Dog, to name a few. In 1999 the band broke up and Patrick moved to Burlington, Vermont and embarked on a solo career. He has been touring the northeast ever since, drawing enthusiastically attentive crowds wherever he plays. Patrick has just released his fifth CD titled SoBeautifulSo Blue. It is his first studio release in four years. He had released Live: The Birthday Shows in 2006 which reached #20 on that year's Folk DJ Chart. Patrick started recording So Beautiful So Blue back in the fall of 2007. Half way through the project he was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo treatment throughout the winter and spring of 2008. On the "good days" he was able to continue working on the CD as well as writing and recording his new song "It's Alright", inspired by this "strange and frightful twist of fate" and the outpouring of love and support from family friends and fans wishing him well and keeping him in their thoughts and prayers. Patrick is now in remission and very happy to be back out playing music again. Patrick writes songs that have that rare combination of strong lyrics AND strong melody. He is a three time Ploughshares songwriting contest finalist and has had his songs placed in several independent films and on numerous radio station and venue compilation CDs. He continues to tour throughout the northeast winning over audiences with his soulful captivating performances.
