Al Dozen is a poet, song composer and Hip Hop artist from Oakland, California. He combines his deep-rooted musical passion, life experiences, sense of humor, political awareness, and connection with the gritty reality of the urban streets to reflect his views and perception through his art. Always being one determined to defy stereotypes and to provide an example of ambition and direction, Dozen lends his creative abilities and motivated spirit to various spoken word venues and projects throughout California’s strongly diverse, influential music scene. Though not to be limited, Dozen has performed across the country, rocking colleges, theaters and lounges with his Hip Hop poetry! The opportunity has been siezed to incorporate witty lyrical ability with noteworthy compositions and instrumentals to create a subtle alternative to the all-too-common radio standard dominating airwaves.
