简介
Stacey Evans is a rock singer, songwriter, and Austin, TX native currently living in West Hollywood, CA. Her undying love for 70's and 80's classic rock and pop music inspired a love for performing and songwriting at an early age. Stacey is significantly influenced by artists like the Bee Gees, Abba, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Def Leppard, Journey, and The Electric Light Orchestra. She describes her style as "classic rock with a good dose of 70's and 80's pop sensibility." Her voice is often compared to Olivia Newton John, Ann Wilson, and Karen Carpenter. Stacey's band on her new album, "A Slender Thread," features a true classic rock line up! Bassist Bob Birch has been in the Elton John Band for the past 12 years, lead guitarist Paul Warren is currently touring with Rod Stewart, and drummer / producer Jimmy Hunter has worked with dozens of legendary artists, including being a member of Nite City with former Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Stacey's smooth, feminine voice, strong lyrics, rich vocal harmonies, and the vintage sound of these classic rock musicians, combine to form energizing and addictive songs. While attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, Stacey began performing as lead singer and songwriter in her first band and quickly emerged as a leader amongst her peers. The San Antonio Paisano describes Stacey's vocals... "Evan's vocals are at worst wonderful and at best...hauntingly beautiful."... Evans's songwriting has been described as ..."a refreshing burst of passion and energy in an overly saturated copycat market"... (DJ, Gen Garrison, 101X FM, Austin, TX.) She went on to earn an award in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition and continued to receive rave reviews as lead singer and songwriter of the Texas pop rock band Dizzybloom. Dave Miller of the Houston Chronicle writes..."Stacey's realistic lyrics and vocals are easily understood...soothing and gentle in parts, but angry and outspoken in others...Stacey has a lot to say and sings it well!" Upon the break up of Dizzybloom, Stacey decided to remain a solo artist and make a move to Los Angeles. She now performs regularly at The Mint, Genghis Cohen, and other LA venues to promote her album, "A Slender Thread."
