Here is sort of a "clean up" album for me. While in the Abdominal Snowmen, I wrote several songs - both on my own and with singer Kris Lynch. I always felt like some of these didn't reach their full potential on our 1995 album A Good Night's Sleep. A couple of those made their way here as I have re-recorded them with different music, lyrics, and other fun tricky stuff. There are also a couple of songs that were written around that time and would have been slated for the third Snowmen album, but that never happened, as the band somehow dissolved without ever having a formal breakup or ugly fight over creative control. Those songs get the Moses solo treatment here as well. The last type of song on the album include a couple that I've written more recently but would have fit in well on that nebulous third Snowmen album that never saw the light of day. I agonized over whether or not I should collaborate musically with others or play everything myself. It turns out that things happened more quickly if I did it myself, so that's what we've got. The result is about an hour long album of serious music with silly lyrics - but beware! Sometimes there is a serious meaning behind the silly lyric.
