Part I of the Polycyclic Trilogy The compositions are based on polycyclic design - i.e. musicians each perform upon cycles of varying lengths simultaneously. It is about relationships, focusing on strength and awareness of the individual within a group. However, the overarching purpose of the music is not to showcase polycyclic design, rather to achieve a perception of relative simplicity, and beauty, over a complex system. May we remember the miracles of each moment amid an ever increasingly complex world.
