Neverborn专辑介绍:Recorded by Geoff "Hollywood" Eaton at Depth Studios in Perth, Australia Vocals: Chris "Big Mak" Swayn Drums: Mike Vulin Guitars: Matt Brennan-Jones Bass: Josh Harris Keys: Jez Devereux From The Metal Forge: "Neverborn 1000 Miles of Hell 7/10 Australian take on Meshuggah perhaps From the blast beat, double kick drumming to the machine gun riffs, Perth band Neverborn smell like Meshuggah from 1000 miles away. There are fast timing changes and unconventional song structures. The vocals roar, hiss and scream, barely heard above the ferocity of the accompanying music. But there is an element of melody, almost mystical and mysterious, that sets Neverborn apart from their Swedish counterparts on their second offering of psycho metal. This time around the budget is much higher than what was available on their debut album, giving Neverborn the chance to finally stretch their blackened and scarred wings. Melody and aggression is jumbled and tossed around in album opener Black Veiled, and there are times when the vocals are drawn out and held, Fear Factory style. Final Breath opens with the soothing tunes of a piano, much like many Cradle Of Filth songs, but it isn't long before the melody is cut short by more trademark machine gun riffs and Death-inspired vocals. But it is the deceiving melodies of track Empires that truly sums up Neverborn, as the beauty and aggression is mixed, creating a mystical aura that leaves you in suspense, waiting to see what's under the surface. 1000 Miles Of Hell is a double shot of home grown heavy metal that can't be missed. Of course the timing changes and chaotic vocal styles will alienate many listeners, but this is also Neverborn's selling point to a core base of fans. Who needs Meshuggah when we're doing it just as good, if not better?"
