The Five Jets were organized in 1958 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and traveled the club circuit from the east coast to the west coast, and overseas. Disbanded in 1971.

Were enducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 2004.

Got back together again in 2006 and recorded this vintage cd of nine great old 50's, 60's songs and three orginal songs, with "Hey Mickey" being a tribute to the legendary Mickey Newbury.
