简介
Brainclaw is a two-member Electro/Industrial music-making organization. They specialize in aggressive, technology-driven and futuristic music made with machines. This is the electronic music project of David and Tara Giuffre, both Eastern Pennsylvania, USA natives. Industrial Nation magazine described Brainclaw as being “Reminiscent at times of And One and others, later period Skinny Puppy, this male/female duo really know how to put great tracks together. With their ready-for-release production and excellent songwriting abilities, Brainclaw are a sure bet for a label signing soon.” Brainclaw was founded by David Giuffre, electronic musician since 1984. David created the Brainclaw Project in 1988 while attending Ithaca College. Brainclaw moved from a basement diversion to a serious project in 2003, when Brainclaw was augmented with a new member, drummer, programmer, vocalist and partner, Tara Giuffre. The current live show lineup also includes hybrid drummer James Sewell and live synthesist Lorie K. Brainclaw’s 2003 self-release of the Insekt/Angel CD heralded the first major effort to spread the Brainclaw virus worldwide. USA electro giant Metropolis Records picked up the CD for distribution, and has sold copies all over the world. The special Brainclaw Live shows have been a raging success as well. Warner Brothers licensed a Brainclaw song to appear on the release of the Matrix Revolutions DVD, and Columbia Tri-Star have contracted to have two more songs appear on the release of the Spiderman Collector’s Edition DVD. Then, Warner Brothers licensed four more songs for use all over the Matrix Box Set DVD release. Brainclaw made the cover of British music magazine KALEIDOSCOPE, with a full interview, stellar CD review and a track on the issue’s free CD compilation. Additionally, Brainclaw secured spots on the highly anticipated Interbreeding III, IV, VI and VII (featured artist) CD compilations, which have enjoyed international distribution and continuing success. Most recently, the new Brainclaw song Strike was placed on Static Sky Records compilation Electro/R/Evolution Vol. 1 and another new song, Fallen, made it’s way on to famed UK compilation Cryonic Tanz Vol. 4. Brainclaw songs have been in heavy rotation on internet radio stations stateside and abroad, with a heavy emphasis on European listenership. Just Google the word “Brainclaw” to get an idea of the current buzz on the Web! Brainclaw has just signed a fantastic deal with the BLC Productions label, and the new CD "Dead Monsters" will be released in April 2006. Can YOU help us continue to spread the Brainclaw virus?
