简介
Abrupt is a fast rising modern rock band from Lafayette, LA with one love tattooed on their hearts, music. With their self produced EP Point To Prove completed, the group’s eyes are fixed on the horizon to break into the music world which they have loved for so long. Their new album consists of hard hitting tracks like “Remain” (condemning the self mutilation of a loved one in the name of pain) and “Go Wrong” (the self-realization that we are all fragile beings), along with softer ballads such as “Wasted My Heart” (the outcry of rejection) and “Not Over Yet” (the release of pride and shame). The eight-song CD is filled with irresistible crowd pleasers which are sure to hook its listeners as fast as the disc’s first play, leaving the newly found fan wanting more! With a solid album, energetic shows, and incredible live performances each night; Abrupt will quickly rise into stardom. The talent filled five are composed of singer / songwriter: Brandon Menard, lead guitarist: Jeremy Foret, rhythm guitarist: Cole LeBlanc, bassist: Josh Bourque, and drummer: Eric Borne. All five musicians have been playing together for years growing as both musicians and a unit, beginning as far back as 2002. This fact alone separates Abrupt from the legions of faulting bands that exist all over the world. Abrupt found their first taste of success in 2004 when they released their first demo titled YOU’RE NOT ME. The band received airplay from three different radio stations, scored two radio interviews, and performed a live acoustic set gaining airplay for five of the cheaply recorded CD’s six tracks. Now with Point To Prove ready for the public via download and online purchase, Abrupt’s next chapter is about to begin. Their energetic live show has already earned them an opening slot with Flyleaf and Motley Crue’s Vince Neil, with more sure to come.
